Precautions in Using PostScript3 printer driver

• When "VM error" occurs, the error can be avoided by adding more memory.
• Lasertalk Version1.3 cannot be used.
• Type1 font conforms to Adobe Type1 font format (1.1). However, characters
that are designed to intersect (self interrupt) may not be correctly printed.
• When characters that do not have hint information are downloaded into ap-
plications, the character may be unclear when printed, depending on whether
they are enlarged or compressed.
• Depending on the application, the output may not be as previewed when us-
ing the PostScript3 printer driver.
• Depending on the application, when printing a document from PostScript3
printer driver with an odd number of pages in duplex mode, a blank page
might be added. To avoid this, set "Blank Page Print" to disable in the PS
Menu on the control panel.
• Because the printer is set to use color separation mode, the color print density
of this printer may differ from standard monochrome printers.
• When duplex printing data stored in the machine from the printer driver, the
[Orientation] and [Margin Adjust] settings may not print correctly. When duplex
printing landscape print data (illustration B.) stored in the machine from the
printer driver, be sure to refer to the limitations of print job setting items in
the corresponding OS.
• The file storing function is not available for applications that have their own
drivers (PageMaker, etc.).
• The[User Code] and [Store file] functions cannot be used with PageMaker. Ad-
ditionally, information from the time printing starts does not affect the print
data
• Depending on your operating system and/or the application you are sending
the print data from, applying the [Separate into CMYK] function might spoil the
print result.
