Windows95/98/Me/NT4.0/2000/XP/Server2003
• If you configure your application to print characters in bold, the thickness of
the characters will vary according to the operating system you are using.
• When using Windows [[Paper handling], the print job may not print correctly.
In such cases, do not use [[Paper handling].
Windows95/98/Me
• The [[Paper handling] setting is not "document sticky" and does not appear in
the settings of applications. To select this function: [[Paper handling] in [Proper-
ties] under [Printers].
• When printing from Quark Express 4.1, a watermark set from PostScript3

printer driver will not print.
• The Adobe Online option on the [Paper] tab of the PostScript3 printer driver
is non-functional.
• The [Rotated] function under [Orientation] in the [Printer] tab of the PS3 printer
driver might be disabled at times.
Windows2000/XP/Server2003/WindowsNT4.0
• A warning message might appear even if the value set in the dialog box is
within the limit.
Macintosh
• When the PS3 printer driver [Cover page] function is set, the[User ID], [User
Code] and time of printing are do not appear on the cover page.
• After printing from an application other than PageMaker using a [User Code],
those [User Code] settings will pass on to the next printing from PageMaker.
• When printing is done from Adobe InDesign with foreground printing and
watermark set, a PS error may occur. If printing from a Macintosh, use back-
ground printing.
• Setting custom sized paper in MacOSX Classic Mode and pushing [OK] with-
out setting the new paper size name can cause the application to forcibly shut
down. When custom sized paper is set in MacOSX Classic Mode, make sure
to enter the new paper size name and then press [OK].
• The [User ID], [User Code], and [Store File] functions cannot be used under Ma-
cOSX 10.1x.
• Under MacOSX 10.2 and later, printing onto custom paper sizes might not be
possible.
• Under MacOSX 10.2, the [Brightness] and [Line Density (lpi)] settings cannot be
enabled for high numbers of print sets.
• Depending on the application you are sending the print data from, applying
the [Separate into CMYK] function might spoil the print result.
• Print with [Collated] set to OFF in order not to waste master.
• When installation volume is selected in MacOSX 10.1x, the dialog box, "About
100MB of free disk space are necessary for installation." is displayed. Howev-
er, This figure includes the space required by the system area. The driver itself
requires only around 4 MB of disk space.
