System Board Removal

Remove the system board per Figure 5-15 and the following steps.
1.
Remove the following components as previously described.
T
system unit cover
T
expansion slot boards
T
PCI/ISA backboard
T
3 1/2-inch drive bracket
T
secondary cache module installed on the system board
T
SIMMs installed on the system board
Remove and label all cables connected to the system board Figure 5-15 provides
2.
the general locations of the connectors for the system board. Appendix A
provides the pin assignments for each connector.
3.
Remove the seven screws that hold the system board to the system unit chassis
(see Figure 5-15). Remove the system board out the side of the system unit.

chips if installed, see Section 3, Options.
