8.2.1 RIP Commands

This table lists the commands for general OSPF configuration.

DESCRIPTION
Enters sub-command mode.
Enables RIP on the specified Ethernet interface.
The
no
command disables RIP on the specified
interface.
Enables redistribution of routing information
learned from the specified source. The
command disables redistribution from the specified
source.
Sets the metric when redistributing routing
information learned from the specified source.
Sets the default RIP version for all interfaces with
RIP enabled. If the interface RIP version is blank,
the interface uses the default version. This is not
available in the GUI. The
no
default RIP version to 2.
Sets the direction to "In-Only" for the specified
interface. The
command sets the direction to bi-
no
directional.
Sets the authentication mode for RIP. The
command sets the authentication mode to "none".
Sets the password for text authentication. The
command clears the password.
Sets the MD5 ID and password for MD5
authentication.
Clears the MD5 ID and password.
Sets the direction to "Out-Only" for the specified
interface. The

command sets the direction to
"BiDir".
