Fuse box in the rear passenger compartment

Opening and closing the fuse box in the cockpit
Observe the notes on electrical fuses

( page 337).

The fuse box is under a cover on the side of the
driver's side of the cockpit.

Open cover in the direction of the arrow

and remove it.
Mercedes-Benz recommends you have the fuse
box opened at an authorized Mercedes-Benz Cen-
ter.
Opening and closing the fuse box in the front
passenger footwell
Observe the notes on electrical fuses
( page 337).

Opening
Remove the floor mat from the front
#
passenger footwell ( page 112).

Pull loop 2 until foot plate 1 is released
#
from the holder.
Remove foot plate 1.
#
Closing
Insert foot plate 1 at the upper edge into the
#
recesses of the trim.

Fold foot plate forwards until it audibly
#
engages. Make sure that loop 2
pressed inwards. Loop 2 must remain acces-
sible from the footwell.
Install the floor mat in the front passenger
#
footwell ( page 112).
