104 Seats and stowing
▌Locking/unlocking the glove box
Turn the emergency key a quarter turn clock-
#
wise 2 (to lock) or counter-clockwise 1 (to
unlock).
Through-loading feature to the cargo compart-
ment
▌Folding the rear seat backrests forward
& WARNING Risk of becoming trapped when
adjusting the seats
When you adjust a seat, you may trap yourself
or a vehicle occupant.
When adjusting a seat, make sure that
#
no one has any body parts in the sweep
of the seat.
& WARNING Risk of an accident because
the seat backrest is not engaged
The seat backrest may fold forwards.
There is a risk of the following, in particular:
The vehicle occupant may be pressed
R
against the seat belt. The seat belt cannot
protect as intended and could cause addi-
tional injury.
A child restraint system is no longer prop-
R
erly supported or properly positioned and
may no longer fulfill its function as inten-
ded.
The seat backrest cannot restrain objects
R
or goods in the trunk or cargo compart-
ment.
Always ensure that the seat backrest is
engaged, especially:
After the seat has been adjusted.
R
After the cargo compartment enlargement
R
has been folded forwards
Always ensure that all vehicle occupants have
their seat belts fastened correctly and are sitting
properly. Particular attention must be paid to chil-
dren.
Requirements
The driver's and front passenger seat have
R
been moved forward sufficiently.
