Adjusting method:
1)
Press DETA
SCREEN
button, and confirm that the tape
counter is displayed on the monitor TV screen.
Adjust CT901 until the left inner contour of the number at
right side of the tape counter indication is line up with the
border line between the red and blue color bars.

10-7. AUDIO SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS
¢ Perform adjustment with the color bar signal used as the video
input signal.
[Connection of audio measuring Instruments]
In addition to the video system measuring instruments, connect
the audio system measuring instruments as shown in the Fig.
10-25, and set the power switch to VTR position for adjustment.
Set the IN/OUT select switch according to the mode as follows.

Playback mode
Unless otherwise specified, set the bilingual switch (S500 on the
VA-68 board) to the following position.
* Green (stereo) position
Note: 1) Unless otherwise specified, input the same signal to
both channel of L and R when input a audio signal.
2) Be sure to insert plug (shorting plug or dummy plug,
etc.) into AUDIO
IN/OUT R terminal. If not, the
mode will be monaural and an appropriate adjustment
can not be performed.
(Monaural mode)
When recording:+++++- REC AFM RF 1.7 MHz carrier
is not output.
REC matrix is off.
In adjustments which is performed for both R and L
channels, the adjusting element
for R channel
is
shown in brackets [ ].
