MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENTS
For Mechanical Adjustments
Refer to mechanical adjustment (8 mm Video MECHANICAL
ADJUSTMENT MANUAL II ) manual for the adjustments and
checks
of mechanism
section
and
the
mechanical
parts
replacement. (9-972-732-11)
For setting of the track shift mode, however,
refer to the
following.
9-1.
SETTING THE TRACK SHIFT MODE
Note: Camera part and video part should have been installed.
[Setting Method]
1)
Set the adjustment commander to the HOLD ON side.
2)
Press EDIT SEARCH + button once, and select page 1.
3)
Select the adjustment adress 4D with FF or REW button.
4)
Set to 3X with PLAY and STOP button. (Setting of track
shift mode)
Note: 3X should be the number from 31 to 3F. (To display
"3X" with PLAY and STOP button is simple to shift.)
When HOLD OFF once after the setting and HOLD O!
again, the display of the address data will be changed. To
set the another mode with shifting, repeat the procedures
from 3).
5)
Set to the HOLD OFF side in order to set the normal mode.

9-2. PREPARATION FOR ADJUSTMENT
1)
Clean the tape running surfaces (tape guide, drum, capstan
shaft, pinch roller.)
2)
Connect to the oscilloscope.
CHI: SS-136 board CNS08 pin @ (PB RF)
CH2: S$-136 board CN5S08 pin @ (SWP)
3)
Play
back
the
tracking
alignment
tape
(WRS-1NP)
(8-967-995-02).
4)
Check that the RF waveform of the oscilloscope is flat at
both inlet and outlet sides. When not flat, make adjustment
as follows. (Refer to Figs. 9-1 and 9-2.)
