Checking the hook adjust. loop lift/synchronization (artista 165/170)

· Remove the needle plate
· Pin the stepping motor (42) needle position center.
· Pin the balance piece (43) of the needle drive(5.5 mm pin)
and turn the handweel until the stop position is reached.
· Hook drive crank (44) must now be pinned with pin (45).
Note: The feed-dog settings should be correct first.
Correction hook drive crank:
· Loosen the second screw (46) in direction of rotation of
the drive belt flange.
· Loosen the first screw in direction of rotation. Now turn
the drive belt flange, until the hook drive crank can be
pinned.

Position of hook in relation to the needle:
· Pin the balance piece, stepping motor zig-zag and the
hook drive crank.
· The hook point must now be flush with the right hand
edge of the needle (see encircled part of diagramme).
Correction:
· Pin the balance piece, stepping motor zig-zag and the
hook drive crank.
· Loosen screw (39) on the rack clamping piece (40).
· The rack (41) can be moved until the hook is flush with
the right hand edge of the needle.
· Tighten screw (39).
