Configuring the Volume Level of Each Tone (Tone Volume)
Tone Volume is the function to adjust the volume level of various tones.
Depending on the usage environment of the repeater, the function can be used to change the volume level of a tone,
and to disable a tone from sounding.
The configuration of Tone Volume is applicable to each of the following tones:
Power-on Tone
Control Tone
Warning Tone
The configuration range is between 0 and 31. Higher values result in greater volume. Tones do not sound from the
repeater when "0" is configured in Tone Volume.

Transmitting a Test Tone during Transmission (Test Tone)

Test Tone is the function to transmit a single tone when the Test Tone function assigned to a PF key or and an AUX
Input port is activated. This function is used to adjust the output level of the repeater.
The transmission of a test tone can be initiated or stopped when a PF key is operated, when a signal is applied to an
AUX Input port, or when the repeater is turned on.

The frequency of the test tone to be transmitted can be configured in the range between 300 Hz and 3000 Hz by
using KPG-174D.
Note
• A test tone is not transmitted while a CW ID, DTMF code, or courtesy tone is being transmitted.
• A voice is not modulated while a test tone is being transmitted.
• A test tone is enabled only for the transmission of an analog signal. If "Mixed" is configured in Channel Type, a test tone is
activated when the factor for transmission by the repeater is repeating an analog signal.
