BRAKE PEDAL ADJUSTMENT
Service Specifications
Brake Pedal Check and Adjustment Interval
Free Pedal Movement Specification
Brake pedal free play is very important and must be checked at the
recommended intervals. If there is no free movement, the brake shoes will
wear quickly.
If there is too much free movement, accidents may occur. If there is not the
same free movement between LH pedal and RH pedal, it may cause
serious accidents.
Put the tractor on level ground, move the range lever in the L position.
Stop the engine.
Rotating fan and belts. Contact can injure. Keep clear.
BRAKE
ROD
Loosen lock nut and rotate the brake
rod to make a free play of 20 to 30 mm
(0.79 to 1.18 in.) at the brake pedal.
With this much play obtained, tighten
the lock nut.
Confirm that the right and left brakes
operate simultaneously by running
the tractor.
If not, adjust both of them by means
of the brake rods.
