B. TROUBLESHOOT BODYSPA SYSTEM
This troubleshooting guide is for general aid only. A Kohler Authorized Service Representative or a qualified electrician
should correct all electrical problems. For warranty service, contact your dealer or wholesale distributor.
SYMPTOMS
1. BodySpa does not
start/stop.
2. Water flow surges.
3. Motor starts, all
Body Jets are not
functioning.
4. Water flow
increases when
key ad button is
keypad button is
pressed, or
decreases when
keypad is pressed.
5. BodySpa stops
automatically
automatically
before 18 minutes.
6. BodySpa does not
automatically stop
after 22 minutes

7. Noisy operation.
8. Whirlpool and

PROBABLE CAUSES
A. No power to pump/control/switch.
B. Harness is blocked.
C. Control disconnected from
pump/control box.
D. Faulty control.
E. Faulty circuit board.
F. Faulty motor/pump assembly.
G. Not enough water in bath.
A. Not enough water in bath.
B. Suction blocked.
C. Harness is blocked.
A. Jet is blocked.
A. Variable flow valve wiring error.
B. Labeled end of control switch cable
plugged into control box.
A. GFCI trips.
B. Motor overheated and protection
device activated.
A. Faulty timer mechanism.
B. Wiring error.
A. Pump straps have not been cut.
B. Not enough water in bath.
A. Faulty circuit board or wiring.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
A. Set/Reset GFCI breaker; check wiring
to pump/receptacle/switch.
B. Remove blockage.
C. Reconnect control.
D. Replace control.
E. Replace circuit board inside control
box.
F. Replace motor/pump assembly.
G. Fill bath to overflow.
A. Fill bath to overflow.
B. Remove obstruction.
C. Remove blockage.
A. Remove blockage.
A. Reverse variable flow valve wire
connections.
B. Reverse cable so labeled end is
plugged into control switch.
A. Identify source of fault and correct.
B. Check for blockage at motor vents.
Remove blockage and allow motor to
cool.
Check for suction blockage. Remove
blockage and allow motor to cool.
Check for harness blockage. Remove
blockage and allow motor to cool.
A. Replace timer board inside
pump/motor.
B. Refer to dealer.
A. Cut straps with tin snips.
B. Fill bath to overflow.
A. Replace circuit board or correct wiring
inside pump/control box.
