EXTERNAL KEY
A part of one picture is cut out, and another picture is inserted
into the cut-out part. The part to be cut out is designated by
the picture picked up by the black and white camera
connected to the EXT KEY connector. This is called "external
key". The signal picked up by the black and white camera is
called a key signal.

1 Pick up the pattern for an extemal key signal, and adjust
the focus, size and position.
2 Set the PGMIPST selector to PGM.
3 Press the EFF button of the PST select buttons,
The EFF button and the EFFECTS indicator will light.
4 Select the pictures by pressing an A bus select button and
aB bus select button.
The picture selected by a B bus select button will be
inserted into the picture selected by an A bus select
button. The pressed buttons light.
°5 Press the EXT KEY button.
The picture selected by a B bus select button is inserted
into the picture on the program monitor.
6 Tum the EXT KEY LEVEL control until the outline of the
inserted picture will be clear.
If necessary, adjust the size and position of the inserted
picture.
