Active Parking Assist
▌Function of Active Parking Assist
Active Parking Assist is an electronic parking
assistance system, which uses ultrasound with
the assistance of the reversing camera and 360°
camera. When you are driving forwards up to
approximately 35 km/h, the system automatically
measures parking spaces on both sides of the
vehicle.
Active Parking Assist serves solely as an aid. It is
not a substitute for you having to pay attention to
your surroundings. The responsibility for safe
R.
manoeuvring and parking remains with you.
Ensure that no persons, animals or objects etc.
are in the manoeuvring range.
Active Parking Assist offers the following func-
tions:
Vehicles with reversing camera
Parking in parking spaces parallel to the road-
R
Front
or

Reversing into parking spaces perpendicular
R
to the roadway
The parking space is freely selectable. The park-
ing procedure is executed with the vehicle revers-
ing.

using Active Parking Assist
The parking space is freely selectable. The park-
ing direction (forwards or reversing) can also be
freely selected, depending on the orientation of
the parking space.
If Active Parking Assist is available, the Ç mes-
sage appears in the driver display. When the sys-
tem detects parking spaces, È appears. The
arrows show the side of the roadway on which
free parking spaces are located. These are then
shown on the central display.
When Active Parking Assist is activated, the turn
signal indicators are activated based on the calcu-
lated path of your vehicle. The procedure is assis-
ted by acceleration, braking, steering and gear
changes when entering or exiting a parking space.
To start the parking procedure, press the button
