Warning Sounds During AEB Operation
Depending on the situation, AEB will issue the following warning sounds:

Autonomous brake operation warning
AEB Operation
1. If AEB detects obstacles in the forward
direction it will sound a warning (short,
repeated beeps) and display "BRAKE!"
(black background with red letters) in the
DIC to encourage the driver to apply the
brakes.

2. If AEB determines that an object is so
close to your vehicle in a forward
direction that there is a strong possibility
of a collision, it will automatically apply
the brakes. A warning (rapidly repeated
beeps) will sound, "BRAKE!" (red
background with black letters) will
display in the DIC and the vehicle's rear
brake lamps will come on.
