@ Preparation for DFS
(Except for the U.K. and Europe)
1 Switch the power to off.
2 Connect the front speakers.
@ Refer to the provided Connecting diagram.
@ When the presence mode of the amplifier is selected, rever-
beration sound is reproduced from the presence speaker.
@ When Dd Pro Logic or 3 Stereo mode is selected, no sound
presence effect (Optional)
1 Switch the power to off.
2 Connect the speakers for surround.

3 Set the speaker mode switch on the ampli-
fier rear panel.

the center speaker is connected,

speaker selector switch to on. When the rear (surround)
speakers are connected, set the rear (surround) speaker se-
lector switch to on.
@ Only in DOPro Logic mode, sound is directed to the center
speaker.

Concerning Delay Time
In the case of a concert hall as shown in the illustration, when sound from the piano played
reflected back and forth an infinite number of times until it fades out.
In contrast to direct sound, indirect sound always arrives at the listener's ear after traveling

Delay Time Setting Procedure (in Dolby Pro Logic mode)
Set the delay time based on the following formula with the distance from the listening position to the front speaker and the distance from
the listening position to the rear speaker.
Delay time = 20 ms + 3 ms x (A- B)
