Concerning Presence
Dolby Pro Logic Surround
Video or LD material with the [[][povsv sunrouno|mark attached contains the same recordings of Dolby Surround
data as a Dolby stereo movie. Now you can enjoy the sound effects of a movie theater in your own home. (See
'page 42.)
Set the © CENTER MODE, ® DELAY TIME, ® CENTER VOL. (not available for CENTER MODE PHANTOM), and © REAR
VOL.
Dolby 3 Stereo
When the right and left speakers are separated, the orientation of the sound image at the center becomes defective.
Dolby 3 stereo adds directional emphasis in order to improve the orientation of the sound image at the center. (See
page 42.) Surround sound can now be enjoyed without rear speakers.
Set for the CENTER MODE.
Presence
The ways of enjoying audio have been expanded through high-level digital signal processing at stereo sources such
as CD, tape or tuner. Through DSP (digital signal processing), this unit creates initial reflex sound and reverberation
sound and reproduces the sound field of all types of sound sources.
@ This unit contains six types of preset patterns. (See page 44.)
@ If desired, you can make fine adjustments to modify the sound field according to your taste. (See page 45.)

The DSP system converts the reverberation components which enhance the presence effects into digital signals, and pro-
vides various presence effects without spoiling the quality of music sources.
