- Fu lly compress the timing chain tensioner.

Th is requires considerable force since the oil has to be
pressed out.
- Release the tim ing chain tensioner.

Without pressure, the timing chain tensioner expands
fully.
- Place two compensating disks or similar aids next to the piston
of the timing chain tensioner. Th is should ensure that when
pushed down, the piston does not fully withdraw.
