You can enjoy the 5,1-channel surround sound found on DVD recorded with Dolby Digital or DTS Digital Surround by connecting an amplifier with
a built-in decoder or a separate deceder-amplifier combination.

If this is set to "No", no audio will be output when DVDs recorded in 96 kHz linear PCM are played. (Audio will be output as it is if the DVD does not
have copyright protection recorded on it.)
