Preparations
oEnsure connections to your television and audio equipment are
correct.
eTum co your television and other equipment.
eSwitch the video input mode on the television to suit the type of
connection you have made (e.g., VCR 2).

Press [POWER j/I] to switch on the
power.
Press [& OPEN/CLOSE] to open the
disc tray.

Place the disc on the disc tray. I
elnsert inside the guides.
oDo not load more than one disc.

The disc trey is automatically closed and play begins.

Press the cursor buttons [k, V, <1, I_]
and press [ENTER], or press the numeric
buttons, to select the item.
Play of the selected item now begins.
eThe cursor buttons are not effecth, e for selecting items for Video
CDs.

[IHH ], [IH_I SKIP]: Shows the next menu.
[HI_ ], [Hill SKIP]: Shows the previous menu.
[RETURN]: Shows the menu screen.
[TOP MENU]: Shows the first menu screen. I_
[MENU]: Shows the menu screen.
• =NO PLAY" is displayed on the FL display if you load the following
kinds of discs and they cannot be played:
•DVD for which playback is prohibited by the initial settings
=2 Ratings" (=_page 28).
.DVD with a region number other than =1"or =ALL" (.o page 6).
•If the disc is put in upside down (and it is a single sided disc).
eWhen =_" appears on the TV monitor when a button is pressed, the
operation is prohibited by the player or disc.
