Use this feature to enjoy a surround-like effect if you are using two
front speakers.
Press [V.S,S.] during play.
Each time this button is pressed, the player's FL display changes:
(_) V.S.S. 1 (Natural effect)
_) V.S.S. 2 (Emphasized effect)
Q V.S.S. is canceled
eThe V.S.S. indicator on the button lights up green when the V.S.S.
function is activated.

1. Press [DISPLAY] twice to show the On-Screen Menu Icons
on the television and select the V.S.S. leOn with the cursor
• buttons [<1, b'].
2. Select the headphone V.S,S. mode with the cursor buttons
[&, ,] [--"_) Virtual Surround Sound (V.S.S.)", page 25].
3. Each time [V.S.S.] is pressed, the player's FL display chang-

eRestore speaker mode when you are not using headphones or else
the sound from the speakers will sound strange.
eV.S.S, effect does not work with Karaoke DVDs.
eV.S.S, will not work or will have less effect with some discs.
eTurn Off the TV surround sound and other surround sound effects
when using this effect.
eSound will only come from the two front speakers if V.S.S. is on.

eFor optimum effect, it is recommended that the distance between
the television and the listening position be about 3 to 4 times the
distance between the right and left front speakers. In
