7. While keeping t he act ivat ion arm com pressed, place t he heat sink over t he pins of
t he heat sink backplat e. Lower t he heat sink unt il t he lugs have insert ed int o t he
base of t he heat sink. Slide t he heat sink over t he lugs on t he backplat e pins so t hat
t he base is direct ly over t he processor die and t he pins on t he backplat e have
t raveled t he ent ire lengt h of t he channel in t he heat sink base. Slowly let go of t he
act ivat ion arm unt il t he base of t he heat sink m akes cont act wit h t he processor die.
The heat sink base should be flat on t op of t he processor die.
