MULTI ROOM OPERATION
TheAVB435 isfullyequipped to operate asthe con-
trol centerfora complete multiroom system thatis
capable of sending onesourceto a second zonein
the house whilea separate s ourceis listened to inthe
mainroom.Inaddition to providing forcontrol o ver
the selection of theremotesource andits volume, t he
AVB435 offersa comprehensive rangeof options for
powering the speakers i nthe second zone.
• Using the linedevel M ultiroomAudioOutputs9,
the selected sourcemaybe fed to optional, external
power amplifiers t hatmaybe matched to the
specifics o f the installation.
• Whenthe mainroomsystemisconfigured for5.1
operation, the Sun-ound B ackLeft/Bight a mplifier
channels m aybe usedto power the remote zoneso
thatnoadditional amplifiers a rerequired.
• UsingbuibinA-BUSReady technology, optional

Inaddition, the AVB435 includes a remote IBsensor
inputso thatremote conl_ol c ommands f romthe

the remote zone's commands t o be sentto compatibb
IRconl_olled s ource devices.
Installation
Although simpbremote roomsystems maybe
instalbdbytheaverage do-ityourself h obbyist,
the complexity o f yourmultizondmultireom s ystem
involves r unning w ires inside ofwalbwhere theservices
of a specially t _ained i nstaller m ayberequired.
Bega_dbss of whodoesthe work,please remember
thatlocalbuilding codesmaygovernin wallelectrical
work,including properspecification of anywiringused
andthe wayinwhichit is connected. Youarerespon-
siblefor making certain thatall multimem installation

RS-232 Control
TheAVR435 is rareamongA/Vreceivers i nthatit
provides t he capability t or fullremote control f rom
compatible c omputers o r specialized r emote control
systems. BS 232 programming r equires specialized
programming k nowbd%andforthatreason werec
ommend thatit onlybe donebyqualified installers.

Multiroom Setup
Once theaudioandIBlinkconnechons havebeen
made, t heAVB435 needs to be configured formull
roomoperation. Press the OSDButton _

the MAS T E R ME NU (Figure 1) to the screen.

Surround Channel Amplifier Assignment
TheAVB435 is equipped w ithseven full power
amplifbrchannels to allowfor complete 7.1 channel
operation. H owever, if yoursystemisonlyconfigured
for 5.1 channels i nthe mainlistening room,youmay
takeadvantage o f the "extra" t wochannels byusing
themto power speakers placedina second zone
location, Thisenables y outo usethemultiroom oapabili
tiesof theAVR 435 without t hecostof anadditional,
external p ower amplifier.
Tochange thesettingsothattheSurround Back
amplifbrsarefed bythe source selected through
the Multiroom system rather t hanthe SBL/SBB
channels of the mainroom,makecertain thatthe
