FulI-OSD Time-OutAdjustment
TheF UL L 0 SD menusystem is usedto simplify
thesetupandadjustment of theAVR435 by using a
series of on-screen menus. Thefactorydefault s etting
forthesemenusleaves themonthe screen for 20
seconds aftera periodof inactivity before theydisap
pearfromthe screen (TimeOut). T imeOutisa safeb/
measure to prevent i mageretention of themenutext
inyourmonitor or projector, whichmighthappen if it
werelefton indefinitely. However. someviewers may
prefer a slightly longeror shorter p eriodbefore the
on screen display disappears.

includes bothanalog anddigitalaudioinputs forall
sources. In mostcases youwillwantto useoneor the
other, b ut notboth.However. insomecircumstances it
is desirable to makebothan analog anddigitalcon-
nection bebJveen a sourcedevice andthe A\/R.
An important application f or dual a udioconnections i s
withcableor satellite boxes, w here the audiooutput
maychange depending on thechannel b eingviewed
andthe fypeof audiothe cablesystem or satellite
receiver a ssociates w ithit.Toeliminate t he need to
constantly s witchbackandforto select a n audiotype
eachtimeyouchange channels, theA\/R435 ispro
grammed by default t o automatically "poll"the audio
inputs. W henadigitalaudiostreamit is sebcted first.
but if the digital a udiois removed theAVRwillswitch
to the analog inputs associated w iththatinputasa
back-up, i nmostsystems t hisisthe correct o perallon

However. if thisconfiguration d oesnotsuityoursys
ternapplication t heAVR435 givesyoutheflexibilify
to turnthedigitalaudioautopolling on or off on an
inputby inputbasis. W hentheAutoPolling is setto

active andnotattempt t o switchto theanalogsource
evenwhenthedigitaldatastream stops.
