is ableto switch themto sendthe propersignals to

foraddedsystem flexibility. Thedefaultsetting is for
the Component V ideo 1 Jacks_ to be assigned
to the DVD and6/8 Channel Directinputs, w iththe

videoat thistime,or if youdo notneedto change
thesedefaults, pressthe •

Whenconfiguring t he digitalinputfora sourcedevice
suchasa digitalcableboxor othersettop tuner
product w itha digital a udiooutputwhere youhave
connected boththe digital a ndanalogoutputs of the
source to the AVR. s electtheappropriate d igitalinput
on thismenu. T hedigital s ource will become the
default, a ndtheAVRwillalwayslooktherefirstto
seewhether a signal i s present. H owever. if thedigital
datastreamis interrupted f orany reason, t heAVRwill
automatically switch to the analog connection a sa
backup. T hisis particularly useful w henconfiguring
the connection f or digital s ettop boxes, w here some
channels f eature digitalsound, b ut others do not.
Tochange thedigitalinputat anylimeusingthedis
cretefunction buttons andthesemiOSDsystem,
pressthe DigitalSelectButton _
on the remote.
Within5 seconds, makeyourinputselection using

untilthedesired
digitalor analog inputis shown in theUpper Display

Thismenuallows youto configure the tonecontrols

certain thatthe MAST ER MEN U is onscreen
