When the speaker c onfiguration i ssetfor 6.1/7.1 operation, playback o f a DTSencoded program source willautomatically trigger the selection
of oneof thetwoDTSESmodes. N ewerdiscswithspecial D TSESdiscrete encoding will bedecoded to provide sixdiscrete, fullbandwidth
channeb plusa separate lowfrequency channel. All otherDTSdiscswillbe decoded usingthe DTSESMatrix mode,whichcleatesa 6.1 channel
sound fieldfromtheoriginal 5 .1 channel soun@ack.

Exclusive t o Harman Ka_don f orA/V receivers, Logic7 is anadvanced modethatextracts the maximum surround information f romeither
surround encoded programs o r conventional stereomaterial. When yoursystemhasbeenconfigured for usewithSurround Backspeakers
(seepage41), youmaychoose between either7.1 or 5.1 versions o f the Logic7 modes, w hileonlythe 5.1 versions a reavailable w hen
thereareno Surround BackSpeakers. TheLogic7 C (orCinema) m odeshouldbe usedwithanysource thatcontains DolbySurround o r similar
