MULTI ROOM OPERATION
TheAVR335 is fullyequipped to operate as thecon-
trolcentertora complete multiroom system thatis
capable of sending onesourceto a second zonein
thehouse whilea separate s ourceis listened to inthe
mainroom.Inaddition to providing for consuloverthe
selection of the remote source anditsvolume, t he
AVR335 offersa comprehensive rangeof options for
powering the speakers i nthe second zone.
• Usingthe linelevelMultiroomAudio OutputsO,
the selectad source maybe fed to optional, exter
nalpoweramplifiers t hatmaybe matched t o the
specifics of the installation.
• Whenthe mainroomsystem is configured f or 5.1
operation, the Surround BackLeft/Right amplifier
channels maybe usedto power the remote zone
sothatno additional amplifiers a rerequired.
Inaddition, the AVR335 includes a remote IRsensor
inputso thatremote control c ommands f romthe
ZoneIIremote included w iththe unitmaybetransmitted
to the unit,whilestandard IRinpuVoutput jacksallow
theremote zone's commands t o be sentto compatible
IR controlled s ource devices.
Installation
Although simpleremote roomsystems maybe
installed bythe average d o it-yourself hobbyist, t he
complexib/of yourmultizone/multiroom
system
involves running w iresinsideof wails wherethe
services o f a specially l _ained installer maybe
required. Regardless o fwhodoesthe work,please
remember t hatlocalbuilding codesmaygovern
in-wall e lectrical work,including properspecification o f
anywiringusedandthewayin whichit is connected.
Youareresponsible f ormaking certain thatall multi-
roominstallation workis donepropedy andin
compliance w ithallapplicable codesandregulations.

Multiroom Setup
Once theaudioandIBlinkconnections havebeen
made, t heAVR335 needs to beconfigured t ormulti-
roomoperation. Press the OSDButton _
to bring
the MAS T E R ME NU (Figure 1) to the screen.

Set Button @ to enterthe MU L T I - R0 0 M
menu(Figure 14).

Surround Amplifier Channel Assignment
TheAVR335 isequipped withsevenfullpower
amplifier c hannels to allowforcomplete 7.1-channel
operation without t he needforadditional external
amplifiers. However, insomeinstallations youmaywish
to usethetraditional 5.1 channel configuration forthe
mainlistening room,whichallows the surround back
left!right a mplifier c hannels t o be usedto power
speakers p lacedina remotezonelocation.
If youwishto usetheSurround Backchannel ampli-
tiersto power the remote zone, y oumustchange a
settinginthe MULTIROOM
SETUP
menu.
Tomakethatchange, firstcallup the menusystem
bypressing the OSDButton _
to bringthe
MAS T E R ME NU (Figure 1) to the screen. N ext,
pressthe• Button _
untilthe • cursoris nextto
the MU L T T R 0 0 M line.Press the Set Button

Whenoperating theAVR335 froma remoteroom

ZoneII remote. Toturnonthe multiroom feed,press
anyof the Input Selectorbuttons on the ZoneII
