B. Remove the Shipping Materials
Remove shipping materials from inside or underneath the
firebox.
Note: Remove the zip ties from the appliance that hold
the electrical cord, gas flexline and multi-purpose tool in
place for shipping.
Remove Shipping Screws
NOTICE: Remove shipping screws to reduce the noise
created from fan vibration.
1. Remove the two shipping screws from the back cover
plate as illustrated in Figure 9.3, Detail A.

2. When servicing or replacing a fan, note the location
of the fan and fan dampener as shown in Figure 9.4.
The fan dampener will be located under the fan. The
gap between the back of the outer wrap and the fan
should be between 1/16 inch and 1/8 inch as shown
in Figure 9.4, Detail B. Additionally, the fan should not
touch the firebox.
GAP = 1/16 IN. TO 1/8 IN.

C. Clean the Appliance
Clean/vacuum any sawdust that may have accumulated
inside the firebox or underneath in the control cavity.
D. Accessories
Install approved accessories per instructions included
with accessories. Contact your dealer for a list of ap-
proved accessories.
