When the wipers are in the highest position
Fold the wiper arms back to the windscreen before starting to drive! The wiper
arms will move back to their home position after you switch on the ignition.
Lifting the wiper blades and folding them away

Bring the wiper arms into the service position
›
Touch the wiper arms only in the area of the wiper blade mounting.
CAUTION
To avoid damage to the bonnet and the wiper arms, fold the wiper arms forward

only in the service position.
Fold the wiper arms back to windscreen before you start to drive.

Rear window
Interior mirror
The driver must always adjust the interior mirror such that adequate visibility to
the rear through the rear window is ensured.
Basic setting

Pull the lever on the bottom edge of the mirror forward
Dimming mirror

Push the lever on the bottom edge of the mirror backwards

Convex (curved outward) exterior mirrors increase the field of vision. They

do, however, make objects appear smaller in the mirror. These mirrors are
therefore only of limited use for estimating distances to the following vehi-
cles.
Whenever possible use the interior mirror for estimating the distances to

the following vehicles.
