PARKING BRAKE LOCKING LEVER

pressed right down position. This function is
used to lock the machine on slopes, during
transport, etc., when the engine is not run-
ning.

TRACTION
PEDAL(8:G)
The pedal determines the gearing ratio between
the engine and the drive wheels (= the speed).
When the pedal is released, the service brake is
activated.
- Press the pedal forward – the
machine moves forward.
- No load on the pedal – the ma-
chine is stationary.
- Press the pedal backward – the
machine reverses.
Reduce the pressure on the pedal – the machi-
ne brakes.
A plate is installed on the upper section of the pe-
dal which can be adjusted to suit the driver's foot.

STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT -
mod.: [V 302 S]
The height of the steering wheel is fully adjustable.
Unscrew the adjustment knob
column and raise or lower the steering wheel ac-
cordingly. Tighten.

THROTTLE AND CHOKE CONTROL
A control for regulating the engine speed and
using the choke when starting the engine in cold
conditions.
If the engine runs unevenly (alternate
variation in the number of engine revs)
the control may be too far forward, thus
activating the choke. This damages the
engine, increases fuel consumption
and is harmful to the environment.
1. Choke – for starting the engine in cold
conditions. The full choke position is in the
front part of the groove. Do not use this po-
sition when the engine is warm.
2. Full throttle –  should  always  be  used
when the machine is in use. The full throttle
position is approximately 2 cm behind the
choke off position.
3. Idling.
Einige Modelle sind mit einem System
ausgestattet, das die Choke-Position
im Vergaser beim Anlassen des Motors
und beim Heizen automatisch kontrol-
liert.
6.7
IGNITION
The ignition block is used for starting and stopping
the engine.
Do not leave the ignition key in position
2 or 3 when you leave the driving seat.
There is a risk of fire (fuel can run into the
engine through the carburettor) and the
battery may go flat and get damaged.
The three ignition key positions:
1. Stop position – the engine is short-cir-
cuited. The key can be removed.
2. Operating position
.
3. Start position – the electric starter mo-
tor is activated when the key is turned to this
position. Once the engine has started, let
go of the key which will return to operating
position 2.
