Two people are speaking on
the internal line.
The machine (base unit) is
being set up for cordless
handset registration.

You failed to register the
cordless handset.
The other cordless handset
you called may be making an
intercom call to another
cordless handset.
Open the upper jam clear cover and
remove any foreign objects inside the
machine.
(MFC3360C and FAX1860C)
If the error message persists, see
5, Section 5.1 "TRANSFERRING
RECEIVED FAX DATA"
disconnecting the machine so you will
not lose any important messages. Then,
disconnect the machine from the power
source and after several minutes,
reconnect it.
(FAX1960C)
Disconnect the machine from the power
source and after several minutes,
reconnect it.
(The machine can retain fax data stored
in the memory for approximately 24
hours even if it is turned off.)
Load the correct size of paper (Letter,
Legal or A4), and then press Black
Start (Mono Start) or Color Start.
Wait until the line is free.
