Checking the tire condition

Only mount tires approved and/or recommended by Husqvarna Motorcycles.
Other tires could have a negative effect on handling characteristics.
The type, condition, and pressure of the tires all have a major impact on the handling characteristic of
the motorcycle.
The tires mounted on the front and rear wheels must have a similar profile.
Worn tires have a negative effect on handling characteristics, especially on wet surfaces.
Main work
Check the wheel bearing for damage and wear.

If the wheel bearing is damaged or worn:
Change the rear wheel bearing.
Clean and grease shaft seal rings

Insert the spacers.

Insert the wide spacer on the left in the direction of
travel.
Clean and grease wheel spindle
Long-life grease (
Position the rear wheel and insert wheel spindle.
The brake linings are correctly positioned.
Mount the chain.
Position chain adjuster
spindle in all the way.

Mount nut
Make sure that the chain adjusters are fitted correctly on the
adjusting screws.
Check the chain tension. (

Tighten nut

Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake lin-
ings are in contact with the brake disc and there is a pressure
point.
Finishing work
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (
