2. Open the cup.
3. Insert or replace the batteries. Make sure the polarity
corresponds to the markings.
4. Close the cup and lock the latch.
NOTE: Change the battery type if you are switching from
rechargeable to non-rechargeable, see "Configuring your
headset".
6.3. OPERATION TIME
Approximate operation time with new AA alkaline batteries
and fully charged LR6NM rechargeable batteries (2100 mAh):
Bluetooth streaming and level-dependent approx. 75 hours.
NOTE:
Depending on the environment, temperature, and
battery age/condition, the operation time may vary.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Inspect the hearing protector before each use. If damaged,
select an undamaged hearing protector or avoid the noisy
environment.
7.1. HEADBAND
(Figure H:1 - H:3)
H:1 Slide out the cups and tilt the top of the shell out, as the
cable must be on the outside of the headband.
H:2 Adjust the height of the cups by sliding them up or down
while holding the headband in place.
H:3 The headband should be positioned across the top of the
head as shown and should support the weight of the headset.
7.2. CARRIER ATTACHMENT
(Figure H:4 - H:8)
H:4 Insert the carrier attachment in the slot on the carrier and
snap it into place (H:5).
H:6 Work mode: Press the headband wires inwards until you
hear a click on both sides. Make sure that the cups and the
headband wires do not press on the edge of the carrier when
in work mode as this could reduce the noise attenuation of
the earmuff.
H:7 Ventilation mode: To switch the unit from work mode to
ventilation mode, pull outward on the ear cups until you hear
a click. Avoid placing the cups against the carrier (H:8) as this
prevents ventilation.
7.3. MICROPHONE
(Figure H:9 - H:10)
To maximize the performance of the speech microphone in
noisy areas, position the microphone very close to your
mouth (less than 3 mm or 1/8 inch). See figure H:9 and H:10.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
8.1. POWER ON/POWER OFF
(Figure 2)
Long press (~2 s) the Power button to power the headset on
or off. A voice message will notify "Power on" or "Power off".
The first time the headset is powered on, it automatically
enters pairing mode.
NOTE: If no button has been pressed for 4 hours, the
headset will automatically be powered off. A voice message
will notify "Automatic power off".
8.2. ADJUST AND SELECT SOUND SOURCE
VOLUME LEVEL
(Figure 3)
To adjust the active sound volume level, short press (~0,5 s)
the [ + ] or [–] button.
Change the active sound source by short press (~0,5 s) the
Power button.
The sound source can either be:
• Phone
• Ambient listening
• Streaming
• Bluetooth radio
SMART TIP: You can configure bass boost, ambient balance,
and ambient equalizer. Long press (~2 s) the Menu button [M]
to access the configuration menu.

8.3. AMBIENT/ENVIRONMENTAL LISTENING
Helping protect your hearing from potentially harmful noise
levels. Ambient/Environmental microphones help you hear
oncoming vehicles, alerts, and other warning signals in low
noise when needed and when it's loud helps to provide
hearing protection, but you can still speak normally and make
yourself heard.
8.4. COMMUNICATION FACE TO FACE
(PUSH-TO-LISTEN, PTL)
(Figure 4)
The Push-To-Listen feature enables you to instantly listen to
your environment by muting the Bluetooth audio volume and
activating the level-dependent microphones. Short press
(~0,5 s) the Power button two times to activate Push-To-
Listen. Short press any button to deactivate Push-To-Listen.
8.5. PAIRING A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
NOTE: Your PELTOR product ability to interface with external
devices (such as cell phones or radios) via Bluetooth and/or
cable might be affected by the software in the external device.
Some described functionality may not work with all external
devices and may be impacted by software and hardware
updates on that particular device.

The first time the headset is powered on, it automatically
enters pairing mode. A voice message confirms, "Bluetooth
pairing on". Pairing mode can also be entered from the menu,
see "Configuring your headset". You can also long press
(~5 s) on the Power button from off mode.
Make sure that Bluetooth communication is activated on your
Bluetooth device. Search and select "WS ALERT X" on your
Bluetooth device. A voice message confirms when the pairing
is complete, "Pairing complete" and "Connected".
NOTE: You can always stop the pairing process by a long
press (~2 s) on the Bluetooth button (fig. 8).
NOTE: When a third Bluetooth device is successfully paired, one
of the previously paired devices is removed from the headset.
