Procedure 3
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if an expansion card or device is defective. If
expansion cards or devices are defective, they can prevent the system from booting or
displaying data. To perform this procedure, begin with Check 1 and continue as instructed.
Check 1
Reinstall cards and devices (refer to Chapter 4) one at a time and test after each
installation.
If something displays on the screen, perform Check 2. If nothing displays on the
screen, perform Procedure 4.
Check 2
(A) Reinstall all cards and devices (refer to Chapter 4). (B) Perform Check 2 of
Procedure 2 in the Monitor Troubleshooting Process.
Procedure 4
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if an expansion card or device is defective. To
perform this procedure, begin with Check 1 and continue as instructed.
Check 1
(A) Replace the expansion card or device suspected of causing the display
problem (refer to Chapter 4). (B) Test to determine if anything displays on the
screen.
If something displays on the screen, perform Check 2. If nothing displays on the
screen, contact Toshiba technical support.
Check 2
(A) Reinstall all expansion cards and devices (refer to Chapter 4). (B) Test to
determine if anything displays on the screen.
If something displays on the screen, perform Check 2 of Procedure 2 in the
Monitor Troubleshooting Process. If nothing displays, contact Toshiba technical
support.
Procedure 5
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the power supply unit is supplying the
appropriate voltages. To perform this procedure, perform the following Check.
Check
Measure to determine if the correct voltages are present at the P1 connector on the
system board at J6M1 (refer to Appendix I for power supply voltages).
If the correct voltages are present at this connector, perform Procedure 5 in the
Monitor Troubleshooting Process. If the voltages are not correct, perform the
Power Supply Troubleshooting Process.
InTouch™ ™ Module Troubleshooting Process
This section describes how to determine if the Infinia ™ InTouch™ Module (both the LED and
LCD versions) operates properly. To perform this process, begin with Procedure 1 and
perform the remaining procedures as instructed. The procedures described in this section
