1, 6, 9, 10 Replace the system board (refer to section 4.9.).
3 Replace memory SIMMs in bank 0 (refer to section 4.11.).
4 Replace memory SIMMs in bank 0 and test (refer to section 4.11.). If the
same beep code sounds, replace the system board (refer to section 4.9.).
5, 7 Replace the microprocessor and test (refer to section 4.10.). If the same beep
code sounds, replace the system board (refer to section 4.9.).
8 Reload the display driver and test. If the same beep code sounds, replace the
system board (refer to section 4.9.).
Procedure 2
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if BIOS testing has identified a problem with
the system board. The Initial Reliability Test (IRT) within the BIOS checks the system board
for possible problems or errors. When the IRT detects an error, the system halts and a
corresponding error message is displayed on the screen.
Check If the system halts and an error message displays on the screen, refer to Table 2-3
for BIOS error messages and the corresponding actions. If no error messages
display, perform Procedure 3.
