Connecting the Interactive Pen Display

Connect the supplied cables to the interactive pen display.
NOTE: For best results, use a computer with a video card that supports SXGA resolution
(1280 × 1024).
To connect the interactive pen display
1. If you haven't already done so, shut down your computer.
2. Locate the cables for the interactive pen display. If they're still taped to the cabinet, remove the
tape.
3. Connect the video cable labeled ANALOG RGB IN to the Analog RGB IN port on the
interactive pen display.
NOTE: The other end of this cable connects to the X-Port 40 unit.
4. Connect the video cable labeled ANALOG RGB OUT to the Analog RGB OUT video port on
the interactive pen display.
NOTE: The other end of this cable connects to the lectern connection panel.
5. Connect the power cable labeled Sympodium 12V DC to the 12VDC IN port on the interactive
pen display.
6. Connect the USB cable labeled Sympodium USB to the USB type B connector on the
interactive pen display.
Connecting the Battery-Free Tethered Pen
You must attach the pen to the interactive pen display by connecting the pen's tether to the
interactive pen display's connection panel.
To connect the tethered pen to the interactive pen display
1. Connect the pen's tether to the Pen Tether port.
2. Thread the tether through the cable management clips on the underside of the interactive pen
display to ensure that the tether is tidy and positioned appropriately for when you use the pen.
3. Place the pen in the recess below the interactive screen. The recess holds the pen
magnetically.
