Storing a Fax in a Local Mailbox
The system administrator must create a mailbox before you can use this feature. For details, refer to the System
Administrator Guide at www.xerox.com/office/ALB81XXdocs.
To store a fax in a local mailbox:
1. Load your original documents.
2. At the printer control panel, press the H H o o m m e e button, then touch F F a a x x .
3. If the entry screen is displayed, touch M M a a i i l l b b o o x x e e s s , or touch A A d d d d R R e e c c i i p p i i e e n n t t , then touch M M a a i i l l b b o o x x e e s s .
4. Touch S S t t o o r r e e T T o o M M a a i i l l b b o o x x .
5. Touch L L o o c c a a l l M M a a i i l l b b o o x x .
6. Touch a mailbox from the list.
7. If a passcode is required, touch the M M a a i i l l b b o o x x P P a a s s s s c c o o d d e e field. To enter the passcode, use the keypad. Touch O O K K .
8. Touch O O K K . The mailbox appears as the recipient of the fax.
9. To select a different mailbox, touch the recipient field, then touch R R e e m m o o v v e e or E E d d i i t t .
10. Touch S S e e n n d d . The original documents are scanned and stored in the mailbox.
Printing Local Mailbox Documents
To use this feature, ensure that you have the documents stored in a mailbox. For details, refer to
Local Mailbox.
To print local mailbox documents:
1. At the printer control panel, press the H H o o m m e e button, then touch F F a a x x .
2. If the entry screen appears, touch M M a a i i l l b b o o x x e e s s , or touch A A d d d d R R e e c c i i p p i i e e n n t t , then touch M M a a i i l l b b o o x x e e s s .
3. Touch P P r r i i n n t t F F r r o o m m M M a a i i l l b b o o x x .
4. Touch L L o o c c a a l l M M a a i i l l b b o o x x .
5. Touch a mailbox from the list.
6. If a passcode is required, touch the M M a a i i l l b b o o x x P P a a s s s s c c o o d d e e field. To enter the four-digit mailbox passcode, use the
touch screen keypad. Touch O O K K .
7. Touch P P r r i i n n t t .
The documents in the mailbox print.
8. To delete the contents of the mailbox after the device finishes printing, touch E E m m p p t t y y M M a a i i l l b b o o x x . To confirm,
touch E E m m p p t t y y M M a a i i l l b b o o x x .
9. To exit, touch X X .

To store a fax in a remote mailbox:
1. Load your original documents.
