Maintenance alarms
Introduction
The PROFINET interfaces of the interface module support the diagnostic and maintenance
concept in PROFINET in accordance with IEC 61158-6-10. The goal is early detection and
correction of potential errors.
On the interface module, maintenance interrupts signal to the the user when network
components must be checked or replaced.
Maintenance interrupts
The interface module signals a maintenance interrupt to the higher-level diagnostics unit
when the following events occur:

Message/Meaning
No synchronization message frame received
Loss of
synchronization
After parameter assignment or during operation, the sync master did
not receive a synchronization message frame within the timeout
period.
Successive synchronization telegrams lie outside the permitted limits
(jitter)
