Troubleshooting the Safe ty Key Circuit

Procedure

1. Set the on/off switch in the "off" position and remove the console from the backplate from the
console.
2. Remove the JK7 connector from the upper PCA.
3. Measure the resistance between the two pins of the JK7 connector with the safety key
installed on the console in its operating position with the safety key removed from the console.
The resistance should be approximately 0 ohms (short) with the safety key installed and
infinite resistance (open) with the safety key removed.
4. If the resistance measurements are incorrect, replace the JK7 connector on the upper PCA
and remove the push on connectors from the safety switch. Repeat the previous Open/Short
resistance measurements
