Nextel Connection Manager User Guide
The Connect tab allows you to set network disconnect and reconnect options.
The Automatically Connect on Application Start-up option automatically connects to the Internet whenever
you click on the Nextel Connection Manager icon. The active profile is used to determine the connection type.
The User Confirmed Disconnect option prompts the Nextel Connection Manager to verify that you actually
want to disconnect before it terminates the Internet connection.
The Connect Retry option allows you to set the Nextel Connection Manager to prompt you before it attempts
to reconnect to the Internet, in case the first connection attempt fails.
The Automatically Reconnect on Lost Connection option allows you to set the number of times, as well as
the specific intervals, in which you want the Nextel Connection Manager to attempt to re-establish an Internet
connection if the connection is dropped. This feature applies in the event that a user is connected to the Nextel
Wireless Network (not WiFi), and the connection drops without the user hitting Disconnect. When this happens,
the Nextel Connection Manager attempts to re-establish connection based on the active profile.
The Unlimited Connect Tries option allows you to set the Nextel Connection Manager so that it may make
unlimited attempts to automatically connect or reconnect to the Internet.
