Preparing your im240 Wireless Modem for Connection

To use your im240 Wireless Modem You must only attempt to use the modem after you install the Nextel
Connection Manager software. To use your im240 Wireless Modem, follow the steps below:

Insert modem into the PCMCIA slot
•
Launch the Nextel Connection Manager software
1 Insert the im240 Wireless Modem into the PCMCIA slot on your laptop PC. Note: Make sure the detachable
L-shaped antenna is securely inserted into the antenna slot on the im240 Wireless Modem before you insert the
modem into the PC. To launch the Nextel Connection Manager software, continue to the next page.
