Connecting to the Internet (using WiFi, im240 or a Nextel phone)

1 Single-click the Nextel Connection Manager icon to run the software. The main user interface screen
appears.
2 The prompt at the top of the main user interface screen changes from No Service to Initializing, as the
im240 Wireless Modem registers with the network. If you are using the im240 Wireless Modem, the LED light
on the modem turns solid red.
Note: You may be prompted to login if you are at a Nextel WiFi hotspot.
3 Once the modem completes packet data registration with the network, the prompt at the top of the main user
interface screen changes from Initializing to Nextel. If you are using the im240 Wireless Modem, the LED light
on the modem flashes green.
