Outline
EtherCAT is an abbreviation of Ethernet for Control Automation Technology. It is open network communication between a
master station and slave stations via real-time Ethernet developed by Beckhoff Automation. ETG (EtherCAT Technology
Group) manages EtherCAT.
The servo amplifiers operate as slave stations which support the CAN application protocol over EtherCAT (CoE). The device
type corresponds to a power drive system, and supports the CiA 402 drive profile.
