Requirements:
You are not driving on a paved or public road.

you are driving at walking pace.
R
the driven wheels are not spinning.
R
You can engage the di erential locks in the

following order: 1, 2, 3. Then press the
respective buttons. Only engage the di eren-
tial lock

and
3
for the front and rear axle
if required.
If all conditions have been ful lled, the activation
indicator lamps

light up. As soon as the di er-
ential locks are active, the function indicator
lamps
4
light up.
The message
Differential lock active ABS and
ESP not available
and the warning and indicator
lamps å ÷ ! on the instrument cluster
appear.

If one or more requirements have not been
ful lled, the message

Press the buttons in the following order 3,

2, 1.
or
To simultaneously disengage all di erential

locks: press button 1.
or
To disengage the di erential locks for the rear
#
and front axles: press button 2.
The di erential locks are only disengaged when
the function indicator lamps are gone out again
4.
If you park the vehicle with the di erential locks
engaged, they will be deactivated automatically
when the vehicle is started again. In some cases,
you have to drive a few metres before the di er-
ential locks are properly disengaged. Therefore,
check if the function indicator lamps have gone
out when you restart the vehicle 4.

in the instrument cluster:

only an aid. You are responsible especially for
maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle in
front, for vehicle speed, for braking in good time
and for staying in lane.
