Note for Windows 98, Windows 98SE
If you are using Windows 98 or Windows 98SE, follow the instructions in the "Software Installation
Guide." If you have performed the steps above by mistake, close the message display, then
disconnect the USB cable from the computer and camera. Then follow the instructions in the
Software Installation Guide.
Check the computer has recognized the camera
Check the computer has recognized the camera as a disk drive.

Set the camera mode dial to
(Setup/Connection mode).
After a few moments, the following are
displayed according to the operating
system:
Windows Me, Windows 2000
The USB driver is installed automatically.
When the installation is completed, a
message is displayed on the screen.
Macintosh OS 9.0-9.1
An icon labeled "untitled" is displayed.
When the connection is completed, go
on to the next section (below) to
confirm the camera is recognized by
the computer.

Double-click the My Computer icon
on the desktop.

Check that a new "Removable
Disk" icon is added to the My
Computer window (the camera is
recognized as the removable disk
by the computer).
When the computer is connected to a
removable media drive or USB card
reader, you may see another disk drive
icon labeled "Removable Disk." In this
case, another disk drive labeled
"Removable Disk" will be added for the
camera.
After the computer has recognized the
camera as a disk drive, go to the next
section "Reading Image Files with a
Computer" to down load the files from the
camera.
