Precautions for Correct Use
The table below shows the data type and size of the process data and the data type of data in
the Sysmac Studio required to generate the I/O port of an IO-Link device in the I/O Map.
• OMRON IO-Link devices
The data type and size of data that comprises process data must be one of the following.
BooleanT
UIntergerT/IntegerT
StringT/OctetStringT
• IO-Link devices of other suppliers
The data type and size of data that comprises process data must be one of the following.
BooleanT
UIntergerT/IntegerT
StringT/OctetStringT
Additional Information
For IO-Link devices with more than one process data structure, you can switch the process da-
ta structure to use by changing the set value of the conditional variable. To switch the process
data structure, right-click in the device registration area and select Select Process Data
Structure.
