available. Toggle selection. The return value is set to
00000000 regardless of the fact that offset adjustment
is available or unavailable.
LD ON
Execute the ON/OFF of the laser diode. Use the key 1
or key 2 to select the laser diode to be turned on/off.
If the fourth digit from the bottom is executed with
"1", the laser diode for CD (780 nm) is turned on/off.
If it is executed with "0", the laser diode for DVD (650
nm) is turned on/off. Toggle selection. It is desirable
that the type of the disc selected with the disc type
and the type of the laser diode should match. The
return value is 0007801 when the laser diode for CD
turns on, 00007800 when it turns off, 00006501 when
the laser diode for DVD turns on or 00006500 when it
turns off.
Focus Close
Move the actuator up and down to the focus
direction. In the S curve confirmation mode, the
aforementioned operation is semi-permanently
repeated at fixed cycles. In other cases, if the
conditions of focus close are satisfied, turn on focus
servo. If the conditions are not satisfied, stop focus
servo. The return value is 00000000.
S Curve Confirmation
Execute the S curve confirmation mode. After this
command has been executed, the S curve can be
checked by executing the aforementioned focus close
command. The return value is 00000000.
EQ Measurement Mode
Forcibly turn on focus and tracking servos and the
mode for identifying the characteristics of the servo
EQ. When executing this command, be sure to
remove the connectors of the pickup. (Because the
pickup may have been damaged). The return value is
00000000.
OEIC Switching
Switch the gain of OEIC. Use the key 1 or key 2 to
select High/Low of the OEIC gain. If the fourth digit
from the bottom is executed with "1", OEIC is set to
the High gain, and if it is executed with "0", OEIC is
set to the Low gain. Toggle selection. The return
value is 00000001 for the High gain and 00000000 for
the Low gain.
TB Automatic Adjustment
Execute tracking balance adjustment. The return
value is 00000000.

Tracking Close
Turn on the tracking servo. The return value is
00000000.
LD ON
: 30130000
This command is the same as the aforementioned LD
ON command. When exiting from the S curve
confirmation mode, be sure to execute this
command. (Because the LD may be damaged)
RF Automatic Adjustment
Adjust the amplitude gain of the RF. The return value
is 00000000.
Focus/Bal Adjustment
Execute focus balance adjustment. The return value
is 00000000.
Focus Tracking
: 30080000
Execute the gain adjustment of focus and tracking.
The return value is 00000000.
Tracking Open
Turn off the tracking servo. The return value is
00000000.
Tracking Close
This command is the same as the aforementioned
: 30090000
tracking close command.
The return value is 00000000.
Track JUMP (Inner Circumference)
Execute the track jump for the specified number of
tracks toward the inner circumference). 1 to 32,767
: 30220000
tracks can be specified. For the specification method,
after having executed this command, toggle-select
the digit of the number of tracks by changing the third
digit below the display between 1 and 8 using the TR
up/down key and select a value using the key 1 or key
2. After having selected them, use the BAND key to
execute the command. For example, to execute 100
track jumps, use the following selection method.

For the return value, the specified number of tracks is
displayed in Hex (hexadecimal) notation. For less
than 255 track jumps, because the track jump is
repeated at fixed intervals, execute the Tracking Open
command after having executed this command and
stop the track jump.
