Adjusting the Master Volume
You can adjust the volume by rotating the VOLUME/CONTROL knob
or by pressing the remote VOLUME/CONTROL buttons (+/-).
Adjusting Speaker Levels

Each time you press the TONE/BAL button, the display and the TV
screen changes as follows.

Use the VOLUME/CONTROL buttons (+/–) to adjust the level.
Levels are adjustable between -10 dB and +10 dB, in 2 dB steps.
If you don't press the VOLUME/CONTROL button or the
TONE/BAL button for a few seconds when a level is displayed,
the level display goes out.
You can adjust the balance of left and right, by adjusting the
FRONT LEFT LEVEL and FRONT RIGHT LEVEL.
If you don't have a subwoofer, you need not adjust the
SUBWOOFER LEVEL.

To mute the sound (such as to receive a
telephone call et cetera)
Press the MUTE button. The red STANDBY indicator lights and blue
LEDs start blinking on the front panel.
Press the MUTE button again to release muting and resume the
normal output. The STANDBY indicator and the blinking LEDs turn
off.
EESP (Electronic EQ Preset System)
The EESP button offers pop, rock, jazz, and classic modes to
enhance your listening.
Pressing the EESP button repeatedly rotates the mode in the
following sequence:

Plug your headphones to the PHONES jack on the front panel of
the unit BEFORE you place the headphones over your ears. This
will help avoid any hearing damage if the volume level is too
high.

the headphones output is momentarily muted when you plug in or
unplug the headphones. In the process of recording audio CD,
AUX inputs or TUNER sound through LINE OUT, do not plug in or
unplug the headphones. Otherwise, the recording is interruptted
for a fraction of a second.
