AC APPLICATIONS

Before connecting an appliance or pow er cord to the generator:
M ake sure that it is in good w orking order. Faulty appliances or
pow er cords can create a potential for electrical shock.
If an appliance begins to operate abnorm ally, becom es sluggish, or
stops suddenly, turn it off im m ediately. Disconnect the appliance,
and determ ine w hether the problem is the appliance or the rated
load capacity of the generator has been exceeded.
M ake sure that the electrical rating of the tool or appliance does not
exceed that of the generator. Never exceed the m axim um pow er
rating of the generator. Pow er levels betw een rated and m axim um
m ay be used for no m ore than 30 m inutes.
Substantial overloading w ill open the circuit breaker. Exceeding the
tim e lim it for maxim um pow er operation or slightly overloading the
generator may not sw itch the circuit breaker OFF, but w ill shorten the
service life of the generator.
Lim it operation requiring m axim um pow er to 30 m inutes.
M axim um pow er is:
5.0 kVA
For continuous operation, do not exceed the rated pow er.
Rated pow er is:
4.5 kVA
The total pow er requirem ents (VA) of all appliances connected m ust
be considered. Appliance and pow er tool m anufacturers usually list
rating inform ation near the m odel num ber or serial num ber.
