Wiring the DC-Input Power Source

Before you wire the DC-input power source, review the warnings in this section and this information:
Warning
This product relies on the building's installation for short-circuit (overcurrent) protection. Ensure that
the protective device is rated not greater than: 

A readily accessible two-poled disconnect device must be incorporated in the fixed wiring. 

Only trained and qualified personnel should be allowed to install or replace this equipment. 

Connect the unit only to a DC-power source that complies with either DC mains or Safety Extra-Low
Caution
Voltage (SELV) requirements in IEC 60950 based safety standards. Do not connect to a hazardous
voltage source.
The DC-power-supply voltage should be within the range that you select on the DC-power-supply
Caution
voltage switch, either –36 to –72 VDC or +18 to +36 VDC. If the supply voltage is not in this range, the
switch might not operate properly or might be damaged.
